To add a cardset with images, simply add the URL of a jpeg or png file in the side 1 or side 2 text field.
The URL must be added as in the following example: https://server.com/path/to/image.ext
Be aware of the following requirements, tips and limitations:
- You must host the images at HTTPS URLs that are publicly accessible.
- The cardset is for private use and the images are either in the public domain or have no copyright preventing their use in an application such as Genius Flashcard.
- For the best visual experience, ensure images are transparent. (Only images in PNG format can be transparent).
- By the judicious use of a transparent background, your images can appear to take on a wide range of shapes and sizes.
- For background images, a 70% opacity black layer should be applied for optimal contrast between the image and text.
- The image file size should not exceed 3 MB. In general, keeping image sizes small reduces latency and provides a better customer experience.
- Images URL cannot be edited at this time. A new cardset editor will be available at some point in the future. In the meantime, you can file a ticket to have the URL edited or removed. This service is offered to paying users for the duration of their plan.
